The Hotel del Coronado gets in the ice skating game with an outdoor beachfront rink, frozen up just in time for the holiday season.
Grab a scarf and mittens, rent a pair of skates for $5 and glide away during daily skating sessions, which run every afternoon from 2 to 5 pm and every evening from 6 to 9 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Friday, Dec. 18, 2009.
Additional sessions happen on weekends and holidays from 11 am to 1 pm. From Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 to Sunday, January 3, 2010 all three skating sessions will be offered daily.
Cost for a three-hour session is $20 for adults, $15 for children 10 and younger. Two-hour session is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger. A portion of skating proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego.
