早在 sunny 寫 Craigslist 那篇文章的時候，就已經準備要寫這一篇下集了，期間也有一位好心網友提醒過，不過拖拖拉拉還是到現在，趁著比家人早起的週日早晨，趕快來寫吧!!!



(嗚嗚嗚，好想哭。剛剛已經打了一個小時的圖文，不小心按錯一個鍵，全都消失，又要重來了)

Goodwill 是美國一個很大很主要的二手物品回收轉賣服務中心，民眾把家中不用的二手物品衣物捐到 goodwill ，然後經過整理分類之後，再拿到他們的實體店面販賣，收益所得，則拿來作為職能訓練之用，幫助身心殘障沒有工作的人修得一技之長，並協助他們找到工作。

sunny 就把 Goodwill 翻譯為 "好心願" 吧!

我們如何達成我們的目標: 我們選擇不做傳統的募款方式，我們利用販售民眾捐獻品的利益所得，以及回收再利用的活動，來支持我們的運作，職能訓練計畫，與求職服務。

上圖就是一個典型的二手物品捐獻貨櫃站，這個是離我們家最近的，就坐落於高速公路入口處，非常方便的地點)



貨櫃站有固定的開放時間，並有專人駐站，如果捐獻的物品比較重，還會幫忙搬運。

這個捐獻站 Sunny 來過好多次，工作人員都非常友善親切。由於捐獻的物品是可以抵稅的 tax deductible, 所以他們會問你是否需要收據。

如果回收站沒有開放的時間，是不可以把捐獻物品擅自留在門外，否則會被視為亂丟垃圾。



裡面長這樣，sunny 有先徵求同意才拍的。這是其中一面，有幾個大的分類箱，以物品性質投入，底下有輪子，方便收集車來搬運。

只要是不用的衣物，家具，或是各類家用品，都可以捐到這裡來。

因為捐獻的東西，都是要再拿去賣的，所以如果已經破損或不能用的東西，就請直接當成垃圾或資源回收垃圾來處理，不要拿來捐了。基本上如果你不會轉送給朋友的東西，大概也不適合拿來捐了。sunny 曾經看過有人載來一個很大的破沙發，感覺非常不好。這是一個愛心二手物品捐獻站，不是垃圾處理站喔。



民眾捐獻的物品經過整理之後，會拿到 Goodwill 商店去賣。

說實話， sunny 拿東西去捐獻站捐了無數次，還沒去過一次好心願商店呢，因為之前在我們附近並沒有 Goodwill 的商店。上圖的這一家，就是今年才蓋的新店 (等紅燈的時候拍的)，離 sunny 家很近， 6/10 要開幕營業了，據說開幕之後，將會是全聖地牙哥區面積最大的好心願實體商店，到時候一定要去看看!

捐贈的人，不但可以清除家中不用之物，讓家裡更清爽舒適，還有抵稅的優惠。

在不景氣的年代，民眾也可以到好心願商店以低價買入需要的家用品或是衣物，那些原本已經沒用的東西，可以在新家再次被利用。

而收益所得，又可以幫助許多需要工作的人，習得一技之長，找到合適的工作，進而能自給自足，自力更生。

這是個三贏的局面。我想，那些二手物品也會覺得很開心吧!!!

最後還要再告訴大家一個好消息。

平常我們的電腦，電視，或是螢幕印表機等等電子用品如果壞掉的話，是不可以隨便丟到垃圾桶去處理的，必須拿到專門處理此類垃圾的 landfill 去才行，而且還必須提出證件證明你是 county 的居民，然後還要付一筆處理費用，才能丟棄這些電子產品。

Sunny 曾經為了丟一個壞掉的電腦螢幕，而打了好多電話去問怎麼丟，丟到哪裡，最後開車送到一個垃圾處理場，花了 $18 美金，還填寫資料，大費周章的才把那個螢幕給丟掉。

不過，自從 Goodwill 開始接收這些電子廢棄物之後，再也不必這麼麻煩了!!!! 電腦相關產品，無論品牌，新舊，好的或壞的，都可以拿到捐獻中心，由他們 "代為接收"。

Please note that we do not accept everything that is considered e-waste, only computers, laptops, cellphones, telephones, and computer parts & accessories and other electronic items. We DO NOT accept florescent lights, or batteries of any sort.

丟棄這類的物品的時候，必須要填寫一張表單並簽名才行。細節請看官方網站

對了， goodwill 還有提供大型家具的 pick up service, sunny 從沒用過，請自行上網查詢。

We offer pick up services for donations that include furniture items in good to great condition with no missing pieces, tears or stains (excluding mattresses and items that are too heavy)- or for large loads pre-qualified by customer service. Lead time can range from 2-4 weeks depending on when you call and are based on your zip code and our fixed truck routes.

下次家中大掃除，不知道如何處理不用的東西，也不想花時間做 garage sale 的話，就把東西拿到 Goodwill 來捐吧! 利人又利己，何樂而不為呢?
